While you do your holiday in Las Vegas, you can enjoy some interesting places in this city. You can bike mountain, explore the views of Red Rock Canyon, California Condors, and Golden Aspen.

Mountain Biking

Designated mountain bike trails include the 41-mile (65-km) Red Rock-Wilson Cliff Loop, with a mile-long extension to the north peak vista at the top of Wilson Cliffs. The full ride takes five to eight hours to complete and is classed as very difficult, but the views of the Sandstone Bluffs and Red Rock Canyon lands are magnificent. Other rides include those totally within Red Rock, the Bristlecone Pine trail in the Spring Mountain Recreation Area, and one through Blue Diamond back to Las Vegas.

From the mountain biking, we can explore the Canyon. In 1869, Major John Wesley Powell, a veteran of the American Civil War, led an exploration party along the Colorado River through the canyon. On August 28, three of the men left the group at the rim of Separation Canyon. They were killed by Native Americans. Ironically, it was the following day that Powell’s expedition emerged safely from the gorge, completing the first exploration ever made of the Grand Canyon.

Besides that, we also can explore the view of California Condors and Golden Aspen. Standing over 3 ft (1 m) tall and with a wingspan of about 9 ft (3 m), the rare California condor may be spotted flying over the South Canyon Rim in summer. Meanwhile, in the fall, the North Rim explodes in a brilliant yellow blaze, as thick stands of aspen trees turn a golden hue.
